ABILENE – Abilene Christian heads to Fort Worth for a pair of Sunday women's tennis matches against San Francisco at 10:30 a.m. and TCU at 3:30 p.m.
The Wildcats are 4-3 after capping Oral Roberts by a 6-1 margin on Saturday.
Freshmen
Maria Cascos and
Olivia Sears are both 5-1 for the spring semester with Sears at the No. 3 singles spot and Cascos primarily at No. 5.
Eva Arranz and
Paula Garrote have combined for a 4-2 record at No. 6 singles.
Maryjoe Crisologo and
Andrea Guerrero have three singles wins each. Cascos and Crisologo lead the doubles section with four wins.
This will be ACU's first meeting against USF.
The Dons are 1-2 after losing twice in Colorado to Colorado and Colorado State. Simran Chhabra, whose brother, Savan, plays men's tennis at ACU, is 1-1 in singles this season. Chiho Mushika is 3-0 on the season.
TCU is 4-0 this season after taking down Alabama and Ole Miss last week. Mercedes Aristegui, Destinee Martins and Yu-Chin Tsai are all 4-0 in singles this season. Tsai and Helena Narmont are the No. 31 doubles team in the nation.
The Horned Frogs have won all four previous matches against ACU.
