Four Wildcats total double-digit digs against Tulsa

TULSA, Okla.— Abilene Christian ended their weekend in Oklahoma with a tough battle against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. The Wildcats opened the day with a win in the first set, closing the set on a 9-1 run. The team got behind early in set two and were able to battle back, but came up just short, falling 25-23. Tulsa used their momentum to close out the final two sets and earn the win in four sets.

ACU will host their first home match of the season on Tuesday when Oklahoma comes to Abilene for the first-ever game to be played in the newly renovated Moody Coliseum.

- The Wildcats defense had another solid day with 89 total digs and four different players totaling double-digit digs in the match.
- Bryley Steinhilber, Ashli Edmiston, and Madeline Guffy each tallied double-doubles on the day.
- Steinhilber led the Wildcats with 11 kills while Edmiston registered her sixth double-digit kill outing of the season with 10.
- The Wildcats have continued to put together a balanced offensive front with at least five hitters totaling five or more kills in each of their three matches this weekend.
- Logan Browning once again set a new career-high for digs with 27 in the match.
- Edmiston's 15 digs marked a new career-high for the freshman as well.
- The Wildcats have now lost four matches in four sets after winning the first set.
- Madeline Guffy was naed to the All-Tournament team after registering a double-double (assists and digs) in each of the team's three matches this weekend. She also tallied seven aces on the weekend.
