ACU STORYLINES

  • WHERE THE WILDCATS STAND – ACU currently sits in a tie for third place with UTRGV in the WAC Southwest Division. Both teams are 7-8, looking up at first-place Sam Houston (10-5) and second-place Lamar (9-6). ACU still plays all five teams three more times this season.
  • BACK ON TRACK – ACU got back in the win column on Tuesday night in the final game of a six-game home stand, topping UT Arlington, 15-5. It was a 9-5 game going to the seventh inning, and the Wildcats scored six runs before there was an out recorded, allowing the team to win via the seven-inning run-rule.
  • JACK OF ALL TRADES – Senior Trevor Jackson was phenomenal in relief against UTA. The veteran got the win, his first of the season, after a career-long 4.0 innings, not allowing a run or a hit with four strikeouts. It was an incredible outing for the Las Vegas native, who only faced 11 batters in four innings, throwing 56 pitches.
  • BASH BALL – Bash Randle matched a season-high with three hits, and matched a career-high with five RBI. He finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored, and the homer was his fifth of the season. There have been five occassions this season when an ACU player has recorded five or more RBI in a game. Randle's tonight was the first such game since March 5 when Tatrow drove in six and Tweedt drove in five in the same game.
