ACU wraps six-game home stand with UTA

ABILENE – The rematch between the ACU baseball team and UT Arlington is here. The two teams met back on March 15 in the Metroplex, and now collide on Tuesday night at Crutcher Scott Field. The Wildcats (15-17, 7-8 WAC) wrap up a busy six-game home stand with the Tuesday night contest before they head out west to battle Fresno State later this week. Altogether, it will be 12 games in 16 days for the ‘Cats as they move to the middle of April. Tuesday’s game airs at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.

• THE WILDCATS STAND – ACU currently sits in a tie for third place with UTRGV in the WAC Southwest Division. Both teams are 7-8, looking up at first-place Sam Houston (10-5) and second-place Lamar (9-6). ACU still plays all five teams three more times this season.
• HISTORIC WIN – March 29's win over No. 12 TCU marked ACU's first win ever against a ranked Power 5 opponent. It was also the second-ever win over TCU for the 'Cats, and the fourth win this season over a Power 5 opponent, after having just four of them ever coming into the 2022 campaign. ACU swept Michigan State in a three-game series earlier this season in Abilene, and as far as their other wins go, the Wildcats beat Arizona in back-to-back seasons (2014-15), won at TCU in 2018, and at Texas A&M in 2021.
