HUNTSVILLE, Texas — It was another game that came down to the wire between the Wildcats and Bearkats but it was Sam Houston who came away with the 75-71 win in overtime. Abilene Christian executed their defense to perfection down the stretch in regulation, forcing a turnover and getting fouled with just 12 seconds left. Damien Daniels sank two free throws to put the Wildcats up by three but Savion Flagg tied the game with a three at the top of the key to send it to overtime.

Key Plays

Reggie Miller got an offensive rebound and the putback for the Wildcats first bucket of the game.
A wing three from Cameron Steele gave the Wildcats their first lead of the game, 10-9.
Sam Houston got two offensive rebounds on the final possession of the first half that led to a bucket putting the Bearkats up 10 heading into the break.
Coryon Mason converted two difficult shots over three possessions for the Wildcats that cut the Sam Houston lead to five early in the second half.
A turnover by SHSU led to a fastbreak layup for Cameron Steele off the pass from Ja'Sean Jackson to give ACU their first lead since 12-11 in the first half.
Tobias Cameron hit a three with just over four minutes to play to give the Wildcats a 61-58 lead.
Flagg hit a three with two seconds left to send the game to overtime where the Bearkats edged ACU, 75-71.
