Wildcats name 10 captains for 2021 campaign

ABILENE – The ACU football team announced the 2021 team captains on Saturday evening prior to the final scrimmage of the fall. Ten players, including three who are captains for the second straight season, were selected by their peers to represent the Purple and White in leadership roles this season.
Defense

Hunter Kier, linebacker

Kobe Clark, wide receiver

"I'm really pleased with the way this player vote turned out, and we feel really strong about the leadership of these guys," head coach Adam Dorrel said. "This group has been consistent in their approach since January. The way they work their teammates, their attention to detail and their physical and mental toughness all deserve to be commended."
The 2021 campaign kicks off on September 4, when the Wildcats visit SMU at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas. ACU is back at Wildcat Stadium the following week, hosting Louisiana College in the home opener. Tickets to all ACU games are still available at ACUSports.com/tickets.
