ABILENE - The Arlington Tennis Center (
map) Saturday opens its indoor courts to the Abilene Christian, Tyler Junior College and UT Tyler women's tennis teams for a 11 a.m. / 3 p.m. doubleheader.
The Wildcats (3-6), who are coming off two competitive defeats vs. Texas Tech and No. 5 NC State, will first face 6-0 TJC followed by the Patriots (2-4). ACU is taking on UTT for the first since moving up to the DI ranks in 2014, and has not faced TJC since 2015 (W, 6-1).
TJC is the No. 2 ranked JUCO school in the latest ITA rankings.
These duals are the Wildcats' final tune-up before starting their seventh Southland Conference campaign next weekend vs. Southeastern Louisiana and McNeese.
