ABILENE - Abilene Christian women's tennis is back in action for the first time in two weeks Saturday with a noontime dual at UTEP. The Wildcats are off to a 1-3 start with losses to SMU, Oklahoma State and Wichita State bookending a 7-0 home win over UTRGV.
ACU has won its last six duals vs. the Miners dating back to 2012 with four of those wins coming in El Paso. The Wildcats won their last meeting there, 5-2, in 2018 after winning 4-3 the two previous seasons in Abilene and El Paso.
Saturday's match kicks off a seven-match road trip, which also includes stops in Tulsa, Lubbock and Arlington. ACU doesn't return home until Friday, Feb. 28 when it plays host to Southland Conference rival Southeastern Louisiana at 1 p.m.
