ABILENE – The ACU soccer program (2-0) gets ready for a busy weekend on the pitch with a pair of games, one at home and one on the road. The Wildcats will host the Lady Mustangs of the University of the Southwest out of New Mexico and the NAIA on Friday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at Elmer Gray Stadium before hitting the road. ACU closes the weekend with a Sunday, Sept. 1 matchup with the Aggies of Texas A&M of the SEC in College Station at 6 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
- ACU and Southwest will meet for the first time since the 2007 season, when the Wildcats were a member of NCAA Division II. In its first season of competition, ACU defeat Southwest by a remarkable score of 14-0.
- The Wildcats and Aggies will get together for just the second time, but have not met since the 2015 season. A&M picked up a 4-1 victory in College Station on Sept. 6, 2015.
ACU STORYLINES
- The Wildcats are 2-0 for the first time since the 2013 season, ACU's first as a Division I member.
- Junior goalkeeper
Erin Smith earned Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after posting a 2-0 mark with six saves over the opening weekend.
- ACU leads the Southland with 8.5 corner kicks earned per game. That stat ranks 21st nationally as well.
- The Wildcats commit the least number of fouls per game in the league (5.0), ranking 25th across all of NCAA Division I.

Natalie Jones' two goals are second in the conference, and her four total points rank second as well.
SCOUTING SOUTHWEST
- The Lady Mustangs (2-1) are coming off a pair of wins over Benedictine University and Lubbock Christian University, 2-1 and 2-0, respectively.
- Southwest has scored two goals in every game so far, including a 3-2, double-overtime loss to Ottawa University.
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M
- Texas A&M has finished with a winning record in all of its previous 26 seasons. The closest
the Aggies have finished to the .500 mark is the 12-8-2 (.591) record they posted in 2016.
- The Aggies (1-0-1) tied Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif. on Aug. 25, but earned an opening-day win at #13 Santa Clara, 3-2.
- Addie McCain, Ally Watt, and Jimena Lopez each have tallied a goal on the season.
- A&M matches up with CSUN (California State University Northridge) for its home-opener Friday night before hosting ACU Sunday.
