Nini Memishishi posted a double bagel win at No. 1 singles over the 47th-ranked D2 player from Tarleton State Alicia Barbaroux Thursday night at the Teague Indoor Tennis Center, leading the Wildcats to a 5-2 win over their former Lone Star Conference rivals.
Memishishi's appearance at the singles' top line was the first of her collegiate career as she's played five times at No. 2 and twice at No. 3 earlier this spring, while last season she played all her singles contests at the No. 3 line or higher. She is, however, no stranger to the No. 1 doubles position, and tonight she and senior
Jordan Henry defeated Alicia Barbaroux and Sherine Salem, 6-4, as part of a three-line sweep.

Allison Stewart won the No. 2 match over Faustine Palatte and Nathalie Ulander, 6-2, while at No. 3 sophomore
Ileana Mocciola and senior Autumn Bellow (ACU) topped Shelby Fillingame and Sofija Hrovat for their team-leading seventh doubles win of the spring.
Memishishi has nine doubles wins this season between three partners with four wins coming at No. 1 and five in tournament competition.
ACU's subsequent three singles wins were earned by Henry, Bellow and Stewart from the No. 3 to 5 positions. Henry's three-set comeback win over Salem, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3
4, was her sixth of the spring. Bellow has won her last two singles matches after beating Palatte, 6-3, 6-4, for the match-clinching point, and then Stewart doubled up Ulander, 8-4.
The Wildcats return to action Friday for a 3 p.m. home indoor match vs. Oral Roberts; however, their planned trip to College Station for this weekend has been canceled.
