ABILENE – The ACU Wildcats will open the home portion of the 2018 football schedule Saturday against old Lone Star Conference rival Angelo State, and ACU Athletics officials are anticipating another outstanding season, the second for Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium.
In advance of Saturday's game, here's a re-fresher for fans on the Do's and Dont's for Wildcat Stadium:
Parking at Wildcat Stadium
Wildcat Club members with season tickets should already have received in the mail their parking pass(es) and ticket(s). Please refer to the campus map to locate your designated parking area.
Those fans who have season tickets but aren't Wildcat Club members, please review the campus Gameday parking map and note the lots that are free and open to the public (shaded in brown). These lots will be available for parking four hours prior to kickoff. Spaces cannot be reserved in these lots and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. ONLY park in designated/striped parking spaces. Parking in any non-designated or non-striped space, grassy area or unpaved surface is prohibited.
Additional off-campus parking is available at Hillcrest Church of Christ (Ambler Avenue, west of the stadium) for a $10 donation toward HillcrestU Outreach Ministries, and at University Church of Christ (East North 16th Street).
Tailgating 101
The tailgating scene at Wildcat Country at ACU last year added an entirely new and exciting element to game days at ACU, and 2018 should be no different. Fans are invited to set up a tent in the Campus Mall, bring their own food and enjoy time with friends and family before the game. Click here to learn more about tailgating, including the process for loading in and out of the area, what you can and can't bring, and more.
What You Can and Can't Bring Into Wildcat Stadium
Because of security concerns, ACU security and athletics officials have put together a list of items that can and can't be taken into Wildcat Stadium. All decisions have been based on the safety and comfort of our fans, as well as best practices from other D-I schools across the country.
Here's a list of items you won't be able to bring into Wildcat Stadium:
• Personal chair backs or seat cushions. Chairbacks can be rented at the stadium for $6 each per game at the Wildcat Ticket Center on the west side of the stadium between Gates A and B.
• Bags larger than the sizes displayed in the image above.
• Other prohibited items include alcohol, tobacco (including e-cigarettes), weapons, illegal substances, drones, umbrellas, cans or glass bottles, etc. Click here for a complete list of items not permitted in the stadium.
