LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Sophomore Sara Eleanor Adams and senior
Whitney Williams upset the 56th ranked doubles team from Northern Arizona to highlight the Wildcats' Saturday doubleheader split vs. the Lumberjacks and New Mexico State.
Abilene Christian (3-2) lost to the defending Big Sky regular-season champions from NAU, 4-1, but rebounded with a 4-0 victory over the host Aggies.

Nini Memishishi defeated Hanneke Lodewijks and Ellie Millard at No. 2, 6-2, and later Adams and Williams edged the nationally ranked duo of Brandy Walker and Eirene Granville, 7-6, for their seventh win of the spring (fourth at No. 1).
ACU again won the doubles point vs. New Mexico State in addition to the three singles matches at No. 1, 2 and 5.
ACU's No. 1 and 3 teams of Pothier/Adams and Mocciola/Henry each were 6-3 winners, and in singles play, Pothier, Williams and Mocciola earned straight-set triumphs. Pothier has won her last three singles matches after starting the year 0-3.
The Wildcats were to have made their home debut Friday, Feb. 9 vs. New Mexico and Tyler; however, these matches have been postponed after four Lobo players were involved in a hit-and-run accident after returning from their opening road trip.
All four student-athletes are expected to return to action soon according to a press release posted on GoLobos.com. They were injured when a vehicle ran a red light struck theirs and sped away.
UNM is scheduled to play its next game on February 17 when the team will travel to Northern Arizona for a 1 p.m. match.
