ABILENE – All fans are offered free admission to Saturday's 7 p.m. women's basketball game vs. Eastern New Mexico. This contest follows ACU's final home regular-season football game vs. Central Arkansas, which kicks off at 2 p.m.

The Wildcats are off to a 2-0 start after beginning the year with two home knockouts of Southwest (W, 90-47) and Howard Payne (W, 98-43). ACU is shooting .482 from the floor and have buried close to 35 percent of their 3-pointers (23-66) with junior guard Breanna Wright leading the way with 16.5 points per game. Senior Sara Williamson (11.0 ppg) also is off to a solid start offensively, having hit 9-of-12 field goals with 11 assists, while newcomer Lexie Ducat Thursday registered her first double-double as a Wildcat (14 points / 13 rebounds). Ducat is team's leading rebounder with 17.

The Hounds of Eastern New Mexico also have started their season 2-0 with wins coming against New Mexico Highlands (66-38) and Fort Lewis (58-55). Last year's team went 16-12 overall and 12-8 vs. the Lone Star Conference, falling to Tarleton State in the first round of the league's tournament (83-61).
