ABILENE – The Abilene Christian soccer team get backs into action this weekend when they head to Tulsa Friday to take on Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. and face Big 12 competitor Oklahoma State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Against the Golden Eagles: The Wildcats and Golden Eagles have hit the pitch in two previous meetings with the first coming in 2013 and the most recent in 2016, both of which were 1-0 wins for ORU. This is the first time the Wildcats will play in Tulsa as each of the previous meetings took place in Abilene. ACU's
Shay Johnson had two shots and
Samantha Vestal and
Dylan Owens each added one shot on goal during the 2016 meeting.
Against the Cowgirls: ACU and OSU met for the first time in school history last season in Stillwater. The Cowgirls came out ahead beating the Wildcats 2-0. Vestal had one of ACU's five shots in last season's meeting.
