ABILENE - Abilene Christian tennis has a loaded schedule this weekend as its men's and women's tennis teams will combine to play six duals split between campus and the Metroplex.
The 7-5 ACU women's team concludes its three-match road trip Friday in Dallas where it will battle both Dallas Baptist (9 a.m.) and SMU (3 p.m.). They will then come back home Saturday morning for a dual vs. Southland Conference rival Sam Houston State, and on Sunday they'll share billing with the men's team when the Wildcats take on Lamar.
The 8-14 men will return to the courts of the Eager Tennis Pavilion a second time Sunday for a 5 p.m. dual vs. their old rivals from UT-Permian Basin.
The Sam Houston and Lamar home matches start at 11:44 a.m. and free Dr. Pepper will be served. However, with there being a 50 percent chance of rain Saturday and 20 percent chance Sunday it's possible times and locations will be adjusted. Any changes to the schedule will first be announced on ACU's Twitter and Facebook pages.
The ACU women are in the midst of a three-game losing streak, which started last week with consecutive one-point road losses at McNeese and Nicholls followed by a 4-0 defeat in their first-ever meeting with Texas.
