Live Audio / Video (SFA feed -- Saturday and Sunday only)NACOGDOCHES – The ACU Wildcats are back to Southland Conference baseball action this weekend with a three-game series at Stephen F. Austin.
The series was scheduled to start Friday night, but has been pushed back because of rain in the Nacogdoches area. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. and finish the series with a 1 p.m. game Sunday. ACU enters the series at 9-29 overall and 7-11 in the Southland, while the Lumberjacks are 13-28 and 7-13.
After winning Southland series against McNeese State (March 20-22) and Houston Baptist (April 2-4), the Wildcats have dropped back-to-back series against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (three losses to the Islanders from April 10-12) and Sam Houston State (two losses to the Bearkats from April 18-19). However, the Wildcats won their last game against the Bearkats with a walk off home run from
Kyle Carroll in the bottom of the 10th, a home run that gave ACU a 3-2 win over Sam Houston State.
The Wildcats are led offensively by senior first baseman
Tyler Eager, who is hitting .285 with one home runs and a team-best 22 RBI. Sophomore
Aaron Draper is hitting .272 with 10 RBI, while freshman
Marcelle Carter and junior
Alex Copeland each have 14 RBI.

Britt Bonneau – who needs just two wins to reach 700 for his career – is shaking up his pitching rotation for this weekend, giving freshman right-hander
Drew Hanson the start Friday night, followed by senior right-hander
Thomas Altimont on Saturday and sophomore right-hander
Garrett deMeyere on Sunday. Hanson is 1-2 with a 3.68 ERA on the season, while Altimont is 1-7 with a 4.28 ERA and deMeyere is 2-3 with a 4.98 ERA.
The Lumberjacks -- who have lost nine of their last 10 games entering Friday's game -- are led offensively by Eric DeJesus, who is hitting .298 with 17 RBI, while Nick Ramos is hitting .295 with one home run and 16 RBI. Kyle Thornell is hitting .292 with five home runs and 25 RBI.
SFA will send right-hander Cameron Gann (3-3, 2.84 ERA) to the mound to start Friday's game, followed by left-hander Dillon Mangham (3-6, 5.40 ERA) on Saturday and right-hander Jarred Greene (1-4, 8.15 ERA) on Sunday. The Lumberjacks have a 6.20 team ERA, which is the highest in the league.
