WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Abilene Christian's 14th-ranked men's tennis team suffered its fourth-straight loss and dropped to .500 on the season at 10-10 following its 5-4 defeat at Lone Star Conference rival and 31st-ranked Midwestern State (8-4, 1-1).
The Wildcats played today's match without the services of their No. 1 competitor and all-America Hans Hach, and the entire lineup was move up one spot as a result even as sophomore Borja Cortes and senior Alfredo Desiati continue to work their way back from early-season injuries.
ACU lost its two points in doubles at the No. 1 and 2 positions. The duo of Cortes and freshman Jason Proctor lost a nail biter at the top spot, 9-8 (5) to the team of Luke Joyce and Colby Meeks minutes after MSU tied the score at 1-1 when Franko Siljeg and Kyle Davidson defeated Guilherme Gesser and Nicklas Wingord, 8-5.
