Wildcats Place Fifth At UST Mamiya Texas Intercollegiate

Final Results

FORT WORTH, Texas - Abilene Christian's No. 10-ranked golf team placed fifth out of 14 teams Monday at the UST Mamiya Texas Intercollegiate hosted by Hawks Creek Golf Club.

The Wildcats shot a two-round score of 6-over-par 582, finishing behind co-champions Oklahoma Christian and Oklahoma City (9-under-par 567), Southern Nazarene (5-under-par 571), and Texas Wesleyan (1-under-par 575).

ACU sophomore Trey Sullivan was the Wildcats' highest finisher as he tied for third with five others in shooting a 4-under-par 140. Junior Alex Carpenter also finished among the top-10 players with his score of 2-under-par 142.

Freshman Corbin Renner and junior Kyle Dickerson tied for 41st at 6-over-par 150, and freshman Luke Carpenter tied for 73rd at 12-over-par 156.

For the Wildcats, Monday's finish marked the 27th straight tournament in which they've finished in the top seven.
