PUEBLO, Colo. – ACU soccer finished their opening season road trip through Colorado with two wins after a 2-0 victory at Colorado State-Pueblo. Goalkeeper
Elliott London finished a solid game in the net earning the shutout Saturday afternoon pushing the Wildcats to 2-0 on the season.
Freshmen
Andrea Carpenter had another big day as she scored her second goal of her career in the 17th minute to give ACU a 1-0 lead. Her goal was unassisted as she broke free outside the box for the game's first goal.
The Wildcats added an insurance goal late in the 63rd minute when sophomore
Julie Coppedge scored her first goal of the season. Her goal was also unassisted helping ACU to a 2-0 win.
London again played well in the net for the Wildcats as she worked all 90 minutes on Saturday for her first shutout of the season. She added eight saves in a couple crucial moments for the Wildcats down the stretch.
ACU will return home for their home opener against Hardin-Simmons September 7.
