WARRENSBURG, Mo. – ACU returns to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006 as they enter the South Central Region as the No. 6 seed and open play against No. 3 Truman on Thursday on the campus of Central Missouri.
Match: ACU (26-5, 13-1 LSC) vs Truman (25-7, 14-6 MIAA)

The Wildcats went 1-1 in the Lone Star Conference Tournament knocking off Texas Woman's in the first round before falling to Angelo State. The Wildcats failed to make the finals of the LSC Tournament for the first time in two years.

-ACU holds wins over MIAA teams Northwest Missouri State, Nebraska-Omaha, Missouri Southern and Southwest Baptist, all which helped propel the Wildcats into their first tournament in four years

- The Wildcats are led by Shawna Hines and IJ Moronu who earned LSC Player of the Year accolades last week for their play during the regular season. Hines is a senior from Aurora, Colorado who led the conference in hitting percentage (.326) and blocks per set (1.43) which was also second best in the nation. Moronu, a senior from Fort Worth, was second in the LSC in assists averaging 10.17 per set while finishing seventh in the league in blocks at 0.89.
-ACU has had three big hitters up front helping control the offensive tone Moronu has set for the Wildcats including Hines, Jordan Schilling, and Jennie Hutt. All three have over 200 kills while Hines leads the team with 310, followed closely by Hutt with 283. Sophomore Kalynne Allen is on the verge of cracking the 200 kill mark sitting at 199
-Defensively ACU has been led by Hines with 154 total blocks on the season, however freshman Neely Borger is one block shy of cracking 100 while Moronu is just four shy of the century mark. As a team the Wildcats are averaging 2.54 blocks per set which puts them as a team among the national leaders (they were 6th entering the LSC Tournament). Helping out the defensive effort the Wildcats have hung their hat on has been libero, Kelsie Edwards, who has 459 digs this season. After totaling one of the best single season marks Edwards has gotten help this season as Moronu and Schilling both have over 300 digs as well.
-Over five season and into 2010 Kellen Mock is 114-45 overall having gone 78-23 over the last three seasons.
-ACU is 2-3 overall in NCAA Tournament games.
-The Wildcats last trip to the NCAA Tournament was a short lived tournament losing to regional host West Texas A&M, 3-0 in the first round.
-The Wildcats two wins came in 2005 where they defeated Central Oklahoma and Metro State before falling in straight sets to host and No. 1 team in the nation Nebraska-Kearney.
