CHADRON, Neb. -- One week after winning their first home football playoff game in 30 years, the ACU Wildcats will be back on the road as they continue in the NCAA Division II playoffs by taking on second-ranked Chadron State at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Wildcats are 10-2 on the season after last week's 56-12 win over Mesa State (Colo.) that represented the program's first playoff game -- and win -- at Shotwell Stadium since Dec. 3, 1977. The Eagles of Chadron State are 11-0 and feature senior running back Danny Woodhead, the leading rusher in NCAA football history.
Kickoff at Elliott Field is set for 1 p.m. Abilene time (noon in Nebraska).
The game will be broadcast locally on KYYW 1470 AM, and it will also be available online at www.tsrnsports.com. Technical issues in Chadron, Neb., made it difficult for ACU to audio stream to the ACU athletics Web site, but the Texas Sports Radio Network made its services available. The Web stream will be free to all listeners, even though who are Wildcat Insiders. To listen to the game online, click here and then click on the ACU-Chadron State link. The Web stream will be available at 12:30 p.m. (Abilene time) for the pre-game show.
