Perhaps the most celebrated football team in ACC history completes its magical 11-0 season with a 13-7 win over Gustavus Adolphus in the Refrigerator Bowl in Evansville Ind. "The Singing Christians" of head coach Garvin Beauchamp are the only team in the United States this season to finish unbeaten and untied and it is still the only ACC football team to accomplish the feat. Future ACC head coaches Les Wheeler, Wally Bullington, and Ted Sitton star on the team that also features Alton Green, E.J. "Tiny" Moore, Bill Ayres, Ray Hansen, Don Smith, Jerry Mullins, Stanley Staples, Harry House, Pete Ragus, Bob Bailey, and Bailey Woods.
