2009-10 (freshman): In limited action in first indoor season she ran top time of 1:02.72 in 400 (Albuquerque) and handled lap on 4x400 relay (best time was 3:57.98 in Lubbock). Improved to 1:01.63 in outdoor 400 (McMurry in Abilene). Also ran on 4x400 that turned in season best of 3:56.78 (Arlington).

High School: Had outstanding high school career. Helped team win state title as senior in 2009 with 66-54 win over rival Parkway Central. Three-time all-America performer and member of national championship team in 4x800 in USATF and AAU competition. Earned 12 all-state honors. Top times include 57.2 in 400 (56.2 on relay) and 2:21 in 800 (2:19 on relay). At 2009 MSHSAA state meet placed seventh in 400 in 58.72 to go with wins in 4x200 (1:40.72) and 4x400 (3:54.54) relays. Overcame injury (broken foot) early in HS career.
