Imani Robinson

Imani Robinson became the director of operations for women’s basketball for Abilene Christian University in May 2023 after coaching AAU basketball for three years.

Most recently before taking on her position at ACU, Robinson coached for the Austin Elite AAU basketball team starting in 2021 until May 2023. Robinson also played professional basketball abroad, playing in Spain in 2021 and then Egypt in 2023.

Before Robinson started her coaching and professional career, the Round Rock native was a student-athlete for the University of Incarnate Word’s women’s basketball program from 2016 to 2020. As a Cardinal, Robinson racked up multiple honors, including the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year in 2017, the All-Southland Conference Third Team in 2018, and the Southland Conference First Team in 2020.

Imani Robinson completed her undergraduate degree in 2020 at the University of Incarnate Word in 2020, earning a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a minor in marketing.

Robinson is also still close to her immediate family, located in the Austin area. Her family includes her mother, stepfather, two brothers and two sisters.
