Biography

2010 Outlook: Two-time national qualifier in discus who returns for junior season with Wildcats after outstanding Texas high school career. 

 

2009 Track and Field (Sophomore):  Runner-up in LSC meet at 156-2 and fourth at NCAA Division II meet in 153-5.  Season best was 164-0 at ACU triangular March 26.  Also threw hammer (153-10) and javelin (119-5), third in LSC hammer and fifth in LSC javelin.  Runner-up in DT at Baylor.  

 

2008 Track and Field (Freshman): Had best of 151-2 to finish runner-up at LSC meet in Abilene. National qualifier at NCAA meet in Walnut, Calif., with 142-1 for 11th place in first NCAA appearance. Also threw best of 137-0 for fourth in hammer at LSC meet.

 

High School: Versatile athlete who won three Class 2A state titles in discus throw and also competed in volleyball (district MVP) and softball (all-West Texas). Won state titles in Austin in 2007 as senior with 154-5 (after overcoming volleyball knee injury), in 2006 as junior with 152-10, and in 2005 as sophomore with 142-3. On Texas HS girls performer lists, she was second in 2006 at 152-10 and third in 2007 at 154-5. In 2005 she was runner-up in U.S. youth championships (intermediate girls) in Knoxville, Tenn., at 147-5 and finished fourth in IAAF World Youth Championships in Marrakech, Morocco, at 155-0. Also four-time district and regional champion in DT and finished third at state meet as freshman in 2004 in 128-10. Other HS performances include runner-up finishes at Texas Relays in 2006 and Great Southwest Classic in Albuquerque in 2005 and 2006 and fifth (152-10) at U.S junior championships in Indianapolis in 2006.
