Biography
Before ACU
Madelyn enjoyed an outstanding career at Franklin HS. She qualified for the 3A state track meet in Austin in all 4 of her HS years. She placed 7 th in the 800 as a freshman, 7 th again in the 800 as a sophomore, then moved up to 5 th as a junior in the 800. After her junior season, she also finished 11 th in the AAU National Junior Olympic 17-18 year old 800 held at North Carolina A&T University. But, it was her senior year that was her best in HS. In the fall, she qualified for the 3A State XC meet for the first time. Moving indoors, she placed 4 th in the Nike Indoor Nationals in the Emerging Elite division with a time of 2:16.74, which was the 9 th fastest time indoors for Texas HS student. At the 3A state track meet, she finished 2 nd in both the 400 and the 800. Her times as a senior both placed her in the top-100 in the state – a 55.80 in the 400 put her at #43 and a 2:13.36 placed her as the #23 best time Texas. After the state meet, she finished 4 th in the TTFCA Meet of Champions 400. She left Franklin HS as the school record holder in the 200 (25.55), plus the 400 and 800. She was also named a Texas Track and Field Coaches Association All-Star.
Personal
A 2025 graduate of Franklin HS, she graduated 4 th in her class and a National Honor Society member. Her parents are Rodney and Stephanie McFadden. She has a brother, Kohen, and a sister, Jentri. Her uncle, Daniel Martin, was an SEC All-Conference decathlete for Texas A&M, where he also finished 3 rd in the Texas Relays decathlon in 2016. At ACU, she is majoring in Animal Science. Her nickname is Maddie.
