Before ACU: She competed in her senior year and freshman years for Blue Ridge HS and her sophomore and junior years for Snowflake HS – both high schools located in Arizona. She has also shown a competitive ability in a stunning breadth of running events – running the 100, 200, 400, and 800. In her senior year at Blue Ridge HS at the AZ D-IV state meet she place 2^nd in the 200, but also ran on the 5^th place 4x100 relay, the 2^nd place 4x400 relay, and 4^th place 4x800 relay. Competing for Snowflake HS as a sophomore on 2021 at the AZ D-3 state meet, she would win the 200 and finish runner-up in the 100 and 400, as well as running on the winning 4x100 relay. Then, in 2022 as a HS junior, she would top her sophomore performance at the AZ D-3 state meet by winning the 200 and 400, while placing 7^th in the 100. Her PR’s are 12.43 in the 100, 25.03 in the 200, and 56.68 in the 400. Lydia would leave Blue Ridge HS as the school record holder in the 100, 200, 400, & 800, as well as being on the record-holding 4x100 & 4x200 relays.
Personal: Hailing from Pinetop, AZ, Lydia is a 2023 graduate of Blue Ridge HS in Lakeside, AZ. She graduated in the top 5% of her class in HS. At ACU, she is studying Cellular and Molecular Biology. Her parents are Thomas and Ivanka Szabo.
