Biography
2025-2026
Cross Country – ran in 4 meets during the season, including a 39 th place finish at the UTA Gerald Richey XC, the 3 rd best ACU finisher. She finished her season at the WAC Championship with a 54 th place finish.
2024-2025
Cross Country – ran in the first 4 meets of the year for ACU. Finished all four meets in the top-8 for ACU, including finishing in the top 7 for ACU in both the Gerald Richey UTA XC Invitational and in the Gans Creek Invitational in Columbia, MO.
Indoor track – competed in 2 meets, but did not compete in the WAC Indoor Championship.
Outdoor track – competed in 5 meets outdoors, including a 2 nd place finish in the 10k at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos in a personal best of 38:34.58, and a 2 nd place finish in the 1500 at the War Hawk Classic at McMurry with a personal best of 4:59.13. Kyla topped off her first collegiate outdoor season by finishing 13 th in the 10k at the WAC Outdoor Championship in Arlington.
2023-2024
Cross Country – redshirt year. Indoors – ran in 3 meets, including placing 6 th in the JD Martin Invitational mile in Norman. Outdoors – medical redshirt.
Before ACU
Spent much of her T&F senior season injured, after finishing 12 th in the District 21-5A XC meet. Earlier in her HS career, she qualified to run in the Region III-5A XC meet as a sophomore and junior – finishing 47th at the region meet as a junior. On the track, she placed 5th in District 20-5A in both the 1600 and 3200 as a sophomore, before finishing 10th in the District 20-5A 1600 as a junior. As a senior, she ran on the 4x800 relay that set a school record in the event at the Victor Lopez Classic in Houston.
Personal
A 2023 graduate of Montgomery HS, where she was a Presidential Scholar, Academic All-State 1 st team, a National Honor Society Scholar, a Nu Alpha Theta Scholar, A Honor Roll, and the recipient of the MHS Bear Award. She also received the Venturing and Scouting Award. Her parents are Michelle and Shawn Fuller and she has two sisters – Tory and Brinly. At ACU, she is a Nursing major and recipient of the Presidential Scholarship and the R.L. Money Chancellor’s Award, and she has appeared on Dean’s Honor Roll both semesters in her first year at ACU.
Why did you choose ACU? From the first time I was on campus I knew that ACU was right for me. I felt right at home and fell in love with the people, professors, and teammates.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? I am soaking in every moment while being on the XC and T&F team. My teammates and coach are like a second family to me.
