Biography
2024-2025: Cross Country – competed in all 6 XC meets for the Wildcats. She finished the XC season on
a definite up-swing. She was ACU’s top finisher in the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station; she
was the 2 nd ACU finisher in the WAC Championship (38 th overall) and finished the year as ACU top finisher
in the South Central Region XC Championship (103 rd overall).
2023-2024: Cross Country – 2023 was a breakout season for Katelyn on the XC course. She ran in all 6 XC
meets on the season for the Wildcats – finishing in the top 4 finishers for ACU in all 6 meets. She finished
the season on a roll as she was ACU’s top finisher in the three meets during the year: finishing 3 rd in the
Naimadu Classic with a new 6K PR time of 22:26; 36 th in the WAC Championship held at ACU’s Zoe Park
course (and finishing 61 places higher than the previous year), and 81 st at the South Central Region meet
in Fayetteville, the only ACU female runner to finish in the top half of the field. Indoors – competed in 4
meets, getting 2 nd in the Grand Valley State Holiday Open 5K in an indoor PR time of 18:04.57; finishing
2 nd in the Charlie Thomas Invitational 5K in College Station; and finished the indoor season by placing 9 th
in the 5K at the WAC Championships. Outdoors - Katelyn ran in 5 meets. Started the season by finishing
4 th in the 5K the Wes Kittley Invitational at Elmer Gray Stadium in a PR time of 17:43.72. That was
followed by a 9 th place finish in the Texas Relays 10K in a PR of 38:04.87 and finished the season at the
WAC Championships by placing 9 th in the 10K.
2022-2023: Cross Country – ran in 3 XC meets this season, including a finish of 97 th place in the WAC
Championship meet in Nacogdoches. Indoors – Finished 13 th in the Pittsburg State Inv 5K – did not
compete in the WAC meet indoors. Outdoors – competed in 5 meets for ACU, highlighted by a 10 th place
finish in the North Texas Classic 1500 and 13 th place in the Michael Johnson Inv 5K at Baylor. She did not
compete at the WAC outdoor championship meet.
2021-2022: Cross Country – Ran in 5 XC meets for ACU during the season and finished 80 th in the WAC
championship in Riverside, CA. Indoors – finished 10 th in the Texas Tech Open 3K, but did not compete in
the WAC championship. Outdoors – competed in 7 meets for ACU, but did not compete in the WAC
championship. She placed 8 th in the Carl Kight Inv 5k in Nacogdoches with a then-PR time of 18:26.06,
4 th in the Oliver Jackson Twilight steeplechase and 5 th in the Wes Kittley Inv steeplechase and 1500.
Before ACU: Katelyn ran at the Texas State XC meet all four years of HS, culminating as she placed 15 th in
the TX 3A XC meet in 2020 during her HS senior year, helping pace the team to the 3A state
championship. She was team captain and a district competitor on the Lago Vista tennis team. She also
competed at the UIL Academic Championships in multiple events.
Personal: Katelyn graduated as salutatorian from Lago Vista HS in 2021. She was also a member of the
National Honor Society, an AP Scholar, and received the AP Capstone Diploma. She was named the Lago
Vista Student of the year in 2021 in both Spanish and Math. She received the Lago Vista Women’s Club
Scholarship and the Lago Vista Lion’s Club Scholarship. Her parents are Peter and Nancy Coldicott.
Katelyn has 2 sisters, Leah and Grace – Leah is a current ACU student. Katelyn is a Marketing major at
ACU, as well as a Presidential Scholar and a Tolleson Scholar in COBA. She has been on the Dean’s List
every semester at ACU. Katelyn is also active in the not-for-profit organization, Simple Charity, at ACU;
the Lake Travis Music Theatre; and Pine Cove Camps in the summer.
Why did you choose ACU? I chose ACU because of the small school environment and the wonderful
people. I love how caring and kind the people are at ACU. I also love that the business programs are high
quality and have small class sizes.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? I love the people that are part of ACU! The coaching staff,
professors and students are amazing examples of Christ’s love!
