Indoors – compete in 1 meet indoors, the TAMU McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational, placing 16th in the long jump and 19th in the 60.
Outdoors – competed in 5 meets outdoors, starting with a 5th place finish in the triple jump at the ACU Wes Kittley Invite, followed by a 2nd place finish in the TJ in the TSU Joe Gillespie Invitational with a season best mark of 39-6/12.05m and a 13th place finish in the TJ at the Baylor Michael Johnson Invitational. Jaeden finished up her first collegiate season by finishing 4th in the TJ at the WAC Championship, just 2.5 inches behind teammate Neriah Williams.
Before ACU: Jaeden competed her first 2 years of HS in Mansfield, but her HS career took off when she ran for Fort Worth Southwest Christian. In her junior year, she placed 4th in the TAPPS 5A 100. Then came a senior year (2025) at the TAPPS 5A meet in Waco where she won the 100, placed 2nd in the 200 and triple jump, placed 3rd in the long jump, and anchored the 4x100 relay that finished in 2nd place. After her senior year, competing for AP Ranch Track Club, she won the 2025 USATF Southwestern Association Jr Olympics in the TJ with a jump of 39-1/11.91m – a mark that finished the summer club season as the 13th best TJ in the nation in the 17-18 age group. She finished her career at SW Christian as the school record holder in the triple jump and on the school record 4x100 relay. She was also first team TAPPS All-State. Besides that outstanding triple jump mark, her other personal bests are 12.13 in the 100, 25.17 in the 200, and 17-8.5/5.40m in the LJ.
Personal: Jaeden graduated from Fort Worth Southwest Christian HS in 2025, as both Academic All-State and an A/B Honor Roll member. Her parents are Chaneera Francis and James Thomas. She has 2 brothers – Jaylen and Kevin – and 2 sisters – Adriel and Nikka. At ACU, she is a Kinesiology (Pre-Occupational Therapy) major. At ACU she is also receiving an Academic Scholarship, School Partnership Scholarship, Church Match Scholarship and a Debutante Scholarship (from her home church).
Why did you choose ACU? To have the Christ-like environment and to compete at a D1 level for track. In addition, it is easier for family to watch me compete.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? I like the purple Friday deals. Those are cool! I also love the culture of my team.
