Biography
Before ACU
Halle finished her career at Midland Christian HS as an All-State T&F qualifier and the Midland Christian T&F MVP all 4 years of high school. During her senior year at MC, she placed 2 nd in the long jump, 6 th in the triple jump and 200, as well as running the opening leg on the winning 4x100 and 4x200 relays. She played a major role in MC winning the TAPPS 5A state girl’s title. As a junior, she placed 4 th at the state meet in the long jump and triple jump. That same year, she placed 5 th in the long jump at the prestigious Great Southwest Classic in Albuquerque with a personal best mark of 19-8.75/6.01 – her first time to long jump over 6 meters. Her mark of 38-7/11.76m that same year ranked her #40 among all Texas HS athletes. As a sophomore, she placed 2 nd in the LJ and 3 rd in the TJ at the TAPPS state meet. She began her career at MC as a freshman placing 4 th in the LJ, 5 th in the TJ, and 7 th in the 200. Halle left Midland Christian as the school record holder in the LJ, TJ, 200, and as a member of the the school record 4x100 relay.
Personal
Halle graduated from Midland Christian HS in 2025 and was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Spanish Club. Her parents are Josh and Heather Gunter and she has 2 brothers – Cade and Lane. At ACU, she is majoring in Business Marketing.
Why did you choose ACU? I chose ACU because of the genuinely friendly people, staff and the track & field coaches who are invested in helping us achieve our best on and off the track.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? My favorite thing is the family-like atmosphere with the track & field team.
