Before ACU: Ethan enjoyed a strong HS career in both XC and T&F. He qualified for the Region IV-6A meet for 3 years, with his highest place occurring in his senior year of 2023, as he placed 30^th in the field. On the track, he had his most successful season on the track in his sophomore track, as he only missed the state meet by as few seconds as he placed 4^th in the 800 at the Region IV-6A meet. As a senior, Ethan ran on the 4x800 relay that set the school record in winning the silver medal at the Texas Relays. As a junior in 2022, he placed 3^rd in the District 28-6A 800, before placing 10^th at the Region VI-6A meet. That same year he would place 9^th in the Texas A&M HS 800. Ethan would be a 4-year letterman in both XC and T&F and a two-time XC team MVP. He was also All-District Academic team for XC, as well as a 2-time Academic All-State in XC.

Personal: Graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Antonio Ronald Reagan HS in 2023, where he was also a member of the National Honor Society. Additionally, he received the National Hispanic recognition award from the College Board. His parents are William and Angela Rodriguez. At ACU, Ethan is majoring in Business Finance and is the recipient of both the Presidential Scholarship and the John C Stevens. He is active in his home church, St Marks Catholic Church and as the non-profit Aid the Silent, which helps children who are deaf and their families.
