2021-2022: Did not compete indoors or outdoors.

2020-2021: Indoors – placed 12^th in the high jump and long jump at the Southland Conference championships, the only indoor meet in which he competed that season. Outdoors: placed 5^th in the Wes Kittley Invitational decathlon and did not compete in another meet that season.

2019-2020: Indoors – at the Southland Conference championships placed 13^th in the heptathlon and 14^th in the high jump. Earlier in the season, Daniel placed 13^th in the Texas Tech Inv heptathlon in his first collegiate combined event. Outdoors: season cancelled due to the pandemic – redshirt for all T&F athletes.

Before ACU: Competing for Trinity Christian in Lubbock, Daniel had a strong performance at the TAPPS 4A meet in 2019, winning the 200, high jump, and long jump. HS bests of: 21.91 in the 200; 6-6 in the high jump; 22-11 in the long jump; and 46-2.5 in the triple jump. His brother, Kyle, and his sister, Marianne, both jumped for Liberty University. And, his sister-in-law, Reece (Timmons) Wheeler, was a multiple time all-conference pole vaulter for Texas Tech.

Personal: 2019 graduate from Lubbock Trinity Christian School…parents are Nathan and Carol Wheeler. His brother, Ben, graduated from ACU in 2017.
