2021-2022: Indoors – 5^th in the WAC championship pole vault, plus 6^th in the Corky Classic pole vault in Lubbock. Outdoors: placed 6^th in the WAC championship pole vault with a PR vault of 16-4.75/5.00m. Also third in both the Wes Kittley Inv pole vault and the Masked Rider pole vault.

2020-2021: Indoors – 4^th in the SLC championship pole vault with an indoor PR of 16-2.75/4.95 – all T&F athletes received a redshirt season. Outdoors – placed 2^nd in the ACU Last Chance pole vault, but did not score in the SLC meet.

2019-2020: Indoors – placed 5^th in the SLC championship pole vault. Outdoor – season cancelled due to pandemic and all T&F athletes received a redshirt season.

Before ACU: Placed 4^th in the 5A state meet pole vault as a senior in 2019, along with running on both the 4x100 and 4x200 relays for Georgetown HS in the district meet. Cole was ranked #101 in the U.S. for HS pole vaulters in his senior year. Also qualified for the state meet in the pole vault as a junior in 2018.

Personal: Cole is a 2019 graduate of Georgetown HS. His parents are Philip and Robin Newman. Cole’s sister, Hannah, is a 2020 graduate of ACU.
