Biography

2024-2025: Cross Country – ran in 5 of the 6 meets for ACU in her first year. Finished her year strong as
she finished 45 th at the WACU Championship in Orem, UT (the #4 ACU finisher) and finished as the #5
finisher for ACU in the South Central Region XC Championship. Her time of 22:40 in the 6K at the WAC
meet was her best time in the 6K XC in her first collegiate season.

Before ACU: During her senior year at Rockwall HS, she competed at the Region II-6A meet where she
finished 6 th in the 800 and 12 th in the 1600. During her senior year, she ran PR’s in the 800 and the 1600
which placed her in the top-100 in the state of Texas – 2:13.76 in the 800 putting her #30 in Texas and
5:07.60 which placed her #93 in the 1600. During her junior year, at the Region I-6A meet, she placed 7 th
in the 800 and 16 th in the 1600. Representing the Texas Titans during the summer of 2023, she competed
well at the USATF Junior Olympics held at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, OR – winning the 2000
meter steeplechase in the 17-18 year old division, with a time that put her #35 in the U.S. for high
schoolers, plus finishing 6 th in both the 800 and 1500. Her sophomore year saw her compete at the
Region I-6A meet and place 6 th in the 3200. In the summer of 2022, she competed at the USATF Junior
Olympics in the 15-16 year old division 1500, with a 4:48.33. She was a 6-time USATF All-American, 5-
time district champion, and 5-time area champion during her HS years.

Personal: Charley graduated from Rockwall HS in the spring of 2024, also receiving the National Spanish
Examination Premio de Bronce; AP Scholar Award; and on Honor Roll throughout her time in high
school. She plans on majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Her parents are Brenda
Hamilton and Lucas Hamilton and Charley has one sister – Hayden. She has also been a volunteer at her
home church, Lakepointe Church, in the Preschool Ministry.

Why did I choose ACU? I chose ACU because I was inspired by the welcoming community and
environment. The Christian values are evident intellectually and athletically throughout the university,
and I knew as soon as I toured ACU and met the team that it was where I belonged.
