2010 Outlook: Returns for senior season in the pole vault for the Wildcats. 

2009 Track and Field (Junior): National qualifier outdoors at NCAA Division II, where he finished eighth at 16-4.75. Top vault was collegiate PR of 16-6.75 for runner-up honors at LSC meet in Kingsville. Top vault indoors was 15-9 at USAF and Tech.

2008 Track and Field (Sophomore): National qualifier indoors (eighth at 15-11) and outdoors (10th at 16-0). Had indoor best of 16-1.25 for runner-up in Lincoln and outdoor best of 16-4.5 for third at ACU twilight. Finished fourth at LSC meet in 16-1.5.

2007 Track and Field (Freshman): Turned in indoor best of 15-5 at Oklahoma Christian. Had outdoor best of 15-9.75 at ACU twilight open. Also third at LSC meet with vault of 15-7.25 and runner-up at ACU dual.

High School: As a senior in 2006, he won the District 4-3A title (13-6) and finished second at the Region I-3A meet (14-0) before finishing seventh at the Class 3A state meet (13-6). As a junior in 2005, Cantrell finished second at the District 4-3A meet (13-0) to qualify for the Region I-3A meet. As a sophomore in 2004, he finished fourth at the District 6-3A meet (12-0).
