Son of Abilene Christian head coach Lance Bingham, Cody Bingham is at the start of his first season as an assistant coach with the Wildcats' track and field program. He will coach student-athletes in the multis, jumps and hurdles.

A 2015 graduate of Liberty University, Bingham was a four-year NCAA DI student-athlete for the Flames and a two-year team captain. His athletic accomplishments include a pair of Big South Conference pole vault championships and a spot at the 2013 NCAA Eastern Regional Championship. 

Bingham additionally qualified multiple times for the IC4As in the pole vault, heptathlon and decathlon, and made the All-IC4A Team in the heptathlon. 

Following the exhaustion of his eligibility, Bingham served as Liberty's volunteer assistant coach in the pole vault.

A native of Lubbock, Bingham has a Bachelor of Science degree in pastoral leadership from Liberty and is a certified strength and conditioning coach. He has twice been to Kenya on mission trips and has taught bible to high school students through the Liberty University Online Academy.

Bingham and his wife, Carylynne, have been married for two years.
