Alexander will compete for the starting job at the shooting guard position in his second season as a Wildcat . Junior (2005-06): Alexander scored a season-best 19 points in a Nov. 30 game against St. Edward's, a game that also saw him hit a season-best seven field goals. Had a season-best eight rebounds in the season-opening win over Huston-Tillotson. Junior college: Alexander was a two-year starter at Eastfield where as a sophomore he led his team to the NJCAA Division II national championship game. Alexander averaged 12 points and eight rebounds per game over two seasons, and led his team to a 28-5 record. High school: As a senior at Kimball HS in 2002-03, Alexander averaged 12 points and six rebounds, while as a junior he averaged seven points per game for the Class 5A state runner-up. Alexander was a junior on the Kimball team that lost to San Antonio Jay, 54-53, in the state championship game when Jay's Chris Ross hit a halfcourt shot at the buzzer to win the game and the state title for Jay.
