Bird also lettered in basketball, golf and track and field at Eastland HS. He was named first team all-District 8-3A selection in basketball as a junior in 2015-16 and honorable mention all-Region I-3A as a sophomore in 2015.

Personal: Son of Brian and Mandy Bird. Played for head coach James Morton at Eastland HS. Born 5 September 1998. 2017 graduate of Eastland High School. Bird graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was ranked 9^th in his senior class.
