Transfer defensive back expected to provide depth in the secondary. Following his freshman season, Townsend married his high school sweetheart and joined the United States Air Force. He finished his commitment in February 2016 after reaching the rank of Senior Airman. He served as Instrument and Flight Control Specialist for the B1 Bomber and was based at Dyess AFB in Abilene. … He was deployed to Doha, Qatar, from July 2015-February 2016 before he was honorably discharged from the military.

Central Oklahoma (2010, Freshman): Played in 11 games for the Bronchos (NCAA Division II), finishing the season with 24 tackles, including 14 solo stops. … He also recorded one interception and two pass breakups.

High School: Received all-district recognition as a senior at Westfield HS in Houston as a senior in 2009, finishing with 35 tackles, seven passes broken up and two interceptions.
