2024 Cross Country Roster
Biography
2023-2024: Cross County – did not compete. Indoors – ran in 2 meets for the Wildcats, including finishing 16th in the Charlie Thomas Invitational mile in College Station. Outdoors – competed in 4 meets, including finishing 33rd in the Wes Kittley Invitational 1500. She did not compete at the WAC championship outdoors.
Before ACU: Competed for Tokay HS in Lodi, CA. In her senior year, she finished 15th in the Tri-College Athletic League (TCAL) XC meet. Later that same season, she finished 10th in the 3200 and 11th in the 1600 at the TCAL championship meet. While at Tokay HS, she received the Most Inspiring Athlete award for XC in both 2020 and 2022.
Personal: Graduated from Tokay HS in Lodi, CA, in the spring of 2023, having appeared on the Honor Roll throughout her HS career. Her parents are Johan and Sandra Shackelford and she has two brothers – Caleb and Jacob. At ACU, she is a Child and Family Services major and a Presidential Scholar. She has been active as a volunteer at the Lodi Baptist Church and the Lodi House, a homeless shelter for women and children, in her home town. In Abilene, she has been active as a volunteer in the Beltway Park Church College Ministry.
Why did you choose ACU? I chose ACU because it is so welcoming and has the best program offered for my major and career path.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? My favorite thing about ACU is all the people – there are so, so many genuinely kind people here in Abilene, TX.
