Justice will see time on the mound out of the bullpen and could be a spot-starter for the Wildcats in 2009.
2008 (Freshman):
Justice saw action in 12 games and had a 6.75 ERA in 14 2/3 innings of work. Allowed 14 hits and struck out 14 batters as all of his work came out of the bullpen.
High School:
Justice was one of the top pitchers in West Texas in 2006 and 2007. Had his best season statistically as a junior in 2006 when he finished the year 11-2 with a 2.24 ERA as he led the Bobcats to an 18-18 record and the program’s first trip to the Class 5A state playoffs since 1998. He also hit .347 with 33 RBI as a junior to earn first team all-District 3-5A honors, as well as all-West Texas MVP honors by the San Angelo Standard-Times. As a senior in 2007, Justice was 2-5 on the mound with a 2.73 ERA to go along with 61 strikeouts in 51-1/3 innings of work. At the plate he hit .382 with seven doubles, four triples, one home run and 31 RBI. Again he was named first team all-District 3-5A, and he was again named to the Standard-Times’ all-West Texas team. As a senior in fall 2006 he was named first team all-District 2-5A as a defensive back in football.
Personal:
His brother, Neil Justice, is an ACU baseball letterman. Born 12 June 1988. 2007 graduate of San Angelo Central High School.
