High School: Competed in swimming, cross country, track and field, basketball and volleyball. TAPPS state champion in cross country as senior in 2008 with 13:14 for two miles. Team MVP in track and field with TAPPS state titles in 400 (59.00) as sophomore and junior and in long jump as freshman. Also state qualifier in 100 and 200. Top times included 57.7 in 400, 17-9.5 in long jump and 12.2 in 100. Member of National Honor Society. Mother Glyna (Beaty) (track and field at ACU) and father Thomas (track and field at Texas A&M and West Texas A&M) were collegiate athletes.
