Biography

2010 Outlook: ACU’s first NCAA Division II and Lone Star Conference heptathlon champion returns for her senior season after sitting out 2009 with injuries. Also former LSC champion in high jump.  One of only two Wildcat women who holds an NCAA Division II individual track and field title.

 

2009 Track and Field (Redshirt): Did not compete while recovering from injuries.

 

2008 Track and Field (Junior): Talented member of Wildcat team that returned to the top of NCAA Division II outdoor track and field, won another LSC title and finished 10th at the NCAA indoor meet. Won LSC titles in heptathlon (repeat winner in 4,971) and high jump (5-5.25) and finished sixth in 100 hurdles (15.01). At NCAA outdoor meet finished

runner-up in heptathlon with 4,951 points. Top outdoor marks included 26.48 in 200, 2:23.86 in 800, 14.84 in 100 hurdles, 5-7 in high jump, 18-6.5 in long jump and 34-8.5 in shot put. Also scored 4,738 in hep at Texas Relays for 12th place. In LSC hep for 2008 best score, started with 15.13 in hurdles, 5-7 in high jump, 34-8.5 in shot put and 26.48 in 200 on first day and came back with 17-7 in long jump, 108-8 in javelin and 2:23.86 in 800.

 

2007 Track and Field (Sophomore): Completed a fine sophomore season with 5,041 points to become the Wildcats’ first NCAA heptathlon champion. Didn’t win any event, but was runner-up after the first day with 3,049 points after 14.62 in the hurdles, 5-5 in the high jump, 35-5 in the shot and 26.19 in the 200. Added 2,002 points on second day to overtake Deserea Brown of SIU-Edwardsville (5,028 after 3,128 on first day) for victory with 17-6.25 in long jump, 109-6 in javelin and 2:21.95 in 800 at meet in Charlotte, N.C. With ACU’s Camille Vandendriessche taking the dec, it marked the first time athletes from same school won NCAA Division II multi-event titles in same season. Won her second LSC multi-event with 5,090 points after earlier winning at Angelo State in March with 4,892. Her other top marks included 25.84 in 200, 18-8 in long jump, 5-6 in high jump and 36-9 in shot put. Also ran 14.70 for fourth in LSC 100 hurdles and leaped 5-4.25 for runner-up in LSC high jump.

 

2006 Track and Field (Freshman): One of the top female freshman athletes in NCAA Division II track and field after earning indoor and outdoor all-America honors. She also scored 38 points at the LSC meet to help the Wildcats regain the conference championship with a meet-record 290 points. Earned all-America honors indoors with tie for second in the high jump (5-7.75). Earned all-America honors outdoors with a second-place finish in the heptathlon (5,291 points) and third-place finish in the high jump (5-7). In the heptathlon, she finished three points behind national champion TiaNiecia Mosley of Adams State (5,294 points). Won LSC titles in the heptathlon (5,042 points) and high jump (5-7) and added 18 more points with a second-place finish in

the long jump (17-11.75), third-place finish in the 100 hurdles (14.75) and fourth-place finish in the 400 hurdles (1:02.59).

 

High School: Withrow was one of the top female athletes in Panhandle of Texas. As a senior at Class 3A state meet, she won state title in 100 hurdles (14.75) and high jump (5-8) and was second in 300 hurdles (44.01) and long jump (18-8.5), scoring all 36 of Muleshoe’s points to finish fifth at the state meet in the team competition. At the Region I-3A meet in 2005 she won 300 hurdles with a meet-record time of 43.56 and also won high jump with 5-7. She was second in long jump (18-2.25) and 100 hurdles (14.83). She won four District 2-3A championships as senior, taking long jump (17-7.25), high jump (5-6), 100 hurdles (15.38) and 300 hurdles (46.36). As a junior in 2004 she again led Muleshoe to district title by winning high jump (5-8),

long jump, 100 and 300 hurdles. At the regional meet, she won high jump and 300 hurdles and went on to finish second in both events at state meet. As a sophomore she helped Muleshoe finish eighth at state meet by winning high jump (5-7) and finishing second in 300 hurdles (45.05).
