Biography

2010 Outlook: Two-time Olympic Games sprinter who returns for second season with Wildcats. 

 

2009 Track and Field (Junior):  League champ in 100 in Kingsville with windy 11.63.  Legal best was 11.71 for sixth at NCAA Division II meet in San Angelo.  Third in LSC 200 with SB of 24.15w (had legal 24.19 in NCAA prelims).  Key member of 4x100 team that had 2009 best of 46.18 at Baylor, won LSC title in 46.78 and qualified for final at NCAA Division II meet but DNF.  National qualifier indoors at 60 (eighth in 7.54), 200 (25.31 in prelims) and 4x400 (fourth in 3:51.07).  Top times included 6.94 in 55 at Tech, 7.34 in 60 at USAF and 24.27 in 200 at USAF.  

 

International Career:  Two-time Olympian for Trinidad & Tobago in 2004 and 2008. Member of 4x100 relay teams that failed to advance to final in both Athens and Beijing. Had top times of 11.38 (1.3) in 100 prelims for national junior record and 23.65 in 200, both from 2004 national championships in Port-of-Spain. Finalist in IAAF World Junior Championships in 100 in 2004 (11.45 in Grosseto for fourth) and 2002 (11.87 in Kingston for eighth). Won the CAC junior title in the 100 in 2004 with 11.46, and in 2003 at the Pan Am Games junior championships placed third in 100 and fifth in 200.
