Biography

Returns to ACU for her senior season.  Is expected to be the veteran leader for the Wildcat pitching staff.  2007 (Junior):  Made 24 pitching appearances and finished with a 13-5 record and a 3.52 ERA (Kim’s win total and ERA mark were both bests for ACU).  Pitched a total of 119.1 innings and struck out 74 batters while walking only 20.  Also had 43 plate appearances as a junior.  Accumulated 10 hits, three RBI and one run scored.  Finished with a .233 batting average. 2005-06 (Temple Junior College):  McDonald was a first team all-conference, all-region, and all-American selection (according to the National Junior College Athletic Association and the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association) in 2006.  She hit .436 with 75 hits, 16 doubles, five home runs and 64 RBI_for Temple.  In 2005 McDonald was a second team all-conference selection and played in the Texas Junior College Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game.  High School:  McDonald was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Janice Williamson at Bryan High School.  She was part of the 2002 Class 5A state championship squad and also the 2003 Class 5A state runner-up squad.  In her junior year, McDonald was a first team all-district and all-Brazos Valley selection.  In her senior season (2004), McDonald was the District 13-5A MVP and also a first team all-state selection.
