Wildcats Host Texas Tech for Exhibition on Friday Afternoon

Abilene Christian fans are welcome to get an early look at the 2026 Wildcat volleyball team when ACU welcomes Texas Tech to Moody Coliseum for an exhibition match on Friday. The exhibition is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and admission is free.
The Wildcats squared off against each other in an intrasquad scrimmage on Tuesday. After taking on the Red Raiders, ACU will play a final exhibition tuneup against Angelo State at the Junnell Center in San Angelo on Friday, Aug. 21.
Ijeoma Moronu Alstrup is entering her fourth season as head coach, and coming off her best year with the Wildcats winning 13 games advancing to the WAC Tournament semifinals in 2025.
Though Friday's result will not count, ACU is 2-2 when playing Texas Tech in Abilene, including a 3-1 victory in the teams' last meeting on Sept. 5, 2023.
The 2026 regular season kicks off at home with the ACU Invitational Aug. 28-29 with Lamar, CSU-Bakersfield and North Texas visiting Moody Coliseum.
