Wildcats Join Fight Against Cancer With Hoops for a Hope, Presented by Hendrick Health

ABILENE - Abilene Christian women's basketball joins the fight against all forms of cancer as it hosts Hoops for a Hope, presented by Hendrick Health, when it takes on conference leader California Baptist at Moody Coliseum at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Wildcats will sport alternate pink uniforms in support of breast cancer awareness. Ahead of tipoff, the team will recognize local cancer warriors and their families who supported them in their battle against cancer. During pregame warmups, six student-athletes will don t-shirts featuring the names of a cancer warrior.

ACU fans are encouraged to get involved through an in-game auction in support of Hendrick Health's Hope Fund, which provides hope and financial assistance to those battling breast cancer in the Big Country. Available auction items include two Under Armour swag bags, Kendra Scott jewelry and a signed jersey and basketball by the Wildcat women's basketball team.

The auction will be held in the North lobby of Moody Coliseum before and throughout the game. Pink t-shirts will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the Hope Fund.

Saturday's matchup will also feature the sixth annual Wildcat Diaper Derby, presented by Hendrick Health, at halftime. Eleven local babies will show off their speed, with the first to crawl to the finish line taking home a grand prize from Hendrick Health!

The action-packed game features ACU's Legends of Moody celebration with in-game recognition of former Wildcat women's basketball student-athletes.
