KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Abilene Christian women's golf continues its fall slate at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate at Cherokee Country Club from Sunday to Tuesday. The Wildcats look to build upon a fourth-place performance at last week's Red Raider Invitational, featuring a top-10 showing by Kate Pickrell.
Teams will play one round each day at the par-71, 5,965-yard course. Sunday and Monday will feature an 8:30 a.m. (CT) tee time, while Tuesday will get started at 8:15 a.m. (CT).
Pickrell will head ACU's lineup, followed by Kaylee Yuan, Alana Kutt, Jiyu Han and Jasmine Do. Yuan, Kutt and Han each joined Pickrell in the top 30 in Lubbock, Texas last week. Do will make her junior season debut.
Tennessee hosts the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate and leads a 15-team field with Southern flair. ACU and Baylor represent the Lone Star State.
Campbell, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Florida International, High Point, Kennesaw State, South Alabama, South Florida and Western Kentucky round out the competition.
Pickrell scored 3-over 219 to place eighth at the Red Raider Invitational to pick up her fourth career top-10 performance. She ranked fourth in the field with 39 pars and tied for the third-best round at 2-under 70 in the second round.
Yuan, a freshman, has worked her way into the Wildcats' lineup in the season's first two tournaments. She tied for 30th place at The Rawls Course after being ACU's top golfer at the Boilermaker Classic in her first career event.
Kutt drew for 17th at 9-over 225 last week and tied for the lead on par 5s at 3-under. Han placed 16th at 8-over 224 to complete the trio of Wildcats in the top 20 in Lubbock.
