ACU Starts Last Stretch of Non-Conference Thursday, Baylor on Sunday

ABILENE, Texas – The Abilene Christian Wildcats women's soccer team is gearing up for a pivotal weekend, starting tomorrow with a non‑conference showdown against Northwestern State at Elmer Gray Stadium before heading to Waco on Sunday to take on Baylor.

On September 11, ACU welcomes Northwestern State for what promises to be a compelling matchup. This contest finds the Wildcats seeking to maintain their early-season momentum and fortify their home advantage, having won their first two home games of the season. ACU faced Northwestern State in 2024, resulting in a 0-0 tie. The Wildcats hold a historical lead against the Sundevils

On September 14, ACU makes the short trip to Waco for a road test against Baylor. This match will mark the last of their non-conference schedule, playing a Power Four opponent. The last time the Wildcats faced the Bears, dating back to 2023, Baylor was able to maintain a significant lead over ACU. The Wildcats are looking to end strong in non-conference play to be ready for the conference ahead.

With these two high-stakes matches back‑to‑back, ACU has a chance to build momentum, test its mettle at home, and then carry that confidence into a high-profile road contest.

Kick-off is on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. CT, streaming on ESPN+.
